Alongside her work in film and television, Fran creates and produces content. She runs The Wensley, a rustic luxury accommodation in the Surf Coast hinterland, where she owns the work from concept through to execution.
Some of it she shoots and cuts herself; other times she engages and directs photographers, DOPs and content creators, working alongside them on set to capture exactly what the brand needs. Either way the concept, the direction and the final product is a result of her vision and execution. Built organically, The Wensley has grown a following of 44K and drawn extensive editorial coverage including the cover of Architectural Digest Mexico. On the strength of that content, the property is a iconic Australian stay, and an internationally recognised photoshoot and film location.
Content has run through her production work for years, often before the industry had a word for it. The behind-the-scenes films, the social campaigns and the digital extensions that sit alongside a larger project have long been part of what she delivers. She made the online content that carried a TAC road-safety documentary across its digital channels, wrote, directed and produced the social and press package that took Surviving Summer into 42 countries for Netflix, and led the full digital campaign for Buried, winner of the AACTA for Best Online Comedy/Drama.
Across all of it the craft is the same: writing, shooting, editing, directing, and knowing why a piece of content works. Feature film sensibility, made for the feed.
